I’m a Graphic Designer based in Cape Town, currently working as a Desktop Publisher for Pick’n Pay. I’m constantly on the lookout for new trends or to collaborate on creative projects. I have a passion for Art, Design, and Typography. I’m also able to create custom vector Illustrations and animations. I'm always learning and exploring new ways to bring my ideas to life, and I'm highly motivated to work on projects that challenge me to push my creative boundaries.
On the left is a creative exercise by 36 Days of Type. The brief was to create a new letter/alphabet daily. I chose Photoshop as my platform in order to further develop my skills. It’s a project I launched on my instagram account only.
In 2022 I was one of the Nando’s Hot Young Designers. This was due to my Xhosa inspired server design entry. It was my first attempt designing furniture, I got to meet the people behind Clout/SA and the other designers from different fields.
I wanted to create a design that was clean and minimal while also reflecting an African identity. For manufacturing and broad appeal, the easiest way to achieve this was to utilize as little color as possible. Xhosa garments have a simple aesthetic, which inspired me to create the line patterns. The Sun Mask inspired the color scheme and the circle on the side. On the other side, I constructed a row of cones modeled after African mud architecture.
